This week's discussion is all about your money habits! We'll address the first steps in Financial Hypnotherapy, specifically how I administer it for Barbers. We'll explore how mastering, what I call, your mentality can help you maintain and increase the financial success you've achieved in your barber business.

Understanding Financial Hypnotherapy

Financial therapy is a process that helps people understand their financial behaviors, where these behaviors come from, and how these behaviors impact their financial health. It's not about numbers, it's more about your mentality. That is what's happening in your mind, more specifically your subconscious mind. That's where the hypnotherapy part comes in. This helps you shift your behaviors. By understanding your financial habits, you can make better decisions in your barber business. What are your thoughts on financial hypnotherapy? Do you have questions about how it could help you improve your business?

The Role of Mentality in Financial Success

Your mindset is conscious brain and your mentality is subconscious brain. Your mindset stores what to do, while your mentality governs how you do it or if you do it at all. Your subconscious plays a crucial role in your financial success. It's mostly about what you believe, not just what you were taught. If your subconscious brain holds maladaptive beliefs about your ability to succeed you'll only go so far in business. In order to get to the top of your game you must be open to learning and committed to personal growth. Can you think of ways your mentality has impacted your financial decisions? I'd love to hear your experiences and insights!

Applying Financial Hypnotherapy in Your Barber Business

Applying financial hypnotherapy in your barber business can help you manage your finances more effectively. It can help you set realistic financial goals, develop a budget that you will actually stick to, forecast in a way that keeps your desires in mind, and most importantly overcome old patterns so you make informed decisions.

Remember, financial success is not just about making money, but also about managing it well. I define the Money Cycle as Earn, Grow, Protect, Gift, and Enjoy your money. Which one of these areas of the money cycle are you best at and which are you struggling with? Share your strategies and your challenges with us! These are the topics we talk about in the Prosperous Barber Journal. If you have something to say, you should become a member. First make sure you and your colleagues are subscribed to the journal. Then when we release the Prosperous Barber Forum you'll be the first to know.

Together we can all get comfortable asking for money, receiving money, and ultimately having money. Thank you for joining us in this week's newsletter discussion. We hope you found it insightful and helpful. Stay tuned for more. We are just getting started.

Last week, we discussed your brand promise. Your brand promise will dictate your process and your price. I’ve been saying: Get your mind right. Get your price right. Get your process right. But getting the process right can help you get your mind right and get your price right. The price and process must be free of emotion. When you get your mind right, you realize the process is logical an...
Issue 18: Prepare Your Clients With a Clear Promise
Prepare Your Clients With a Clear Message Change is uncomfortable. That’s why raising your prices and adjusting your menu of services feels tough. Change is not natural. It is more natural to keep things the same and keep doing what you have been doing. But if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always gotten. And based on what you’ve been complaining about l...
Issue 17: Before You Raise Your Prices
Have you heard business coaches advise you to spend more time working on your business than working in your business? This is true if you are a CEO with different departments, but as a barber, this may not be as true for you. You can hire someone to clean, work reception, or even shampoo, but the most important part of your business is the cut, and you have to do that. However, you still need t...
